At Sounds Fun speech pathology we want to see kids thrive at school. Whether it’s a learning difficulty like dyslexia, language or speech delays, or they just missed some fundamentals – kids need help to achieve their best.

We teach kids the fundamentals of literacy, starting with the smallest parts of words and building up. What we do is always informed by the latest research on the science of reading.

I have the best job in the world.

I know I’m making an impact every time a kid walks through my door. I get to see a kid have a lightbulb moment. I get to see them shine with pride and watch that smile light up their whole face. That’s pretty powerful stuff.

I do this job because it tickles my brain, it makes me think and it challenges me. But possibly more than anything I do it because I wish I had this kind of help when I was a kid. Because I remember the frustration and desperation for someone to please just tell me what I’m missing because I just didn’t ‘get it’ like others in my classroom.

I get to be the adult I needed as a kid.
